COOPER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Clarksburg man was charged on Wednesday after he was allegedly involved in the August death of Dylan Kramel, 20.

Kramel was in the bucket of a Bobcat skid steer that Rowles was driving on Aug. 6 when Rowles hit a pot hole, and Kramel was ejected from the bucket. The skid steer then hit Kramel, and he later died.

The incident was near the intersection of Highway H and California Drive in Cooper County.

Rowles was taken to the Cooper County Jail after the incident. A breath sample showed his blood alcohol concentration was 0.162 percent, according to court documents filed on Wednesday.

Rowles told police he drank six or seven beers over the course of four hours earlier in the night, court documents said.

Both Rowles and Kramel worked for mid-Missouri construction companies. According to spokespeople with the companies, neither were working when the crash occurred, and the equipment was not property of either company.

Rowles was charged on Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, causing the death of another.
