COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A former mail carrier pleaded guilty on Monday in federal court to stealing rebates from mail intended for Randolph County residents, a Monday press release from the Department of Justice says.

Dawn Dowling, 59, pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis to embezzling mail by a Postal Service employee. She admitted to taking Menards rebates in July and August 2023, the release says.

She was assigned carrier routes in Moberly, Huntsville, Cairo, Higbee, Jacksonville and Excello, the release says. She is scheduled to be sentenced on March 4 at the Eastern District Court.
