MGN

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Department of Mental Health said in a Friday press release that it is working to notify 537 people that their personal information was shared in an email.

According to release, the department was notified on Nov. 5 that a consumer list was accidentally sent to a dozen people associated with other state agencies or community partner organizations on Nov. 1.

The information included names, birth dates and Social Security numbers, the release says.

The department is mailing written notices to the people affected and sharing ways for them to protect their credit, the release says.
