Columbia teenager accused in Randolph County shooting death to be charged with murder
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia teenager accused in the shooting death of a Moberly man on Sunday will be charged with murder.
Randolph County Sheriff Aaron Wilson told ABC 17 News that a 16-year-old boy from Columbia will be charged with second-degree murder and robbery in the death of Ethan March. A 15-year-old girl from Moberly will be charged with hindering a felony prosecution. Neither teenagers’ names have been released.
The sheriff’s office wrote in a press release on Monday that March was found dead with a gunshot wound on Sunday near a residence on County Road 2605. He was 22. That press release had referred to the boy as a “suspect” and the girl as an “acquaintance.”
The teenagers were found and released to the Randolph County Juvenile Office, where they are still being held, Wilson said.
