Three people were injured – one seriously – in a single-vehicle crash Thursday on Interstate 70 in Cooper County at mile marker 102, a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says.

According to the report, the crash occurred as a 2012 Freightliner Cascadia was heading eastbound and changed lanes near a work site. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and slid, the report says.

The driver – a 41-year-old woman from Little Elm, Texas – overcorrected and the truck overturned, hit the median cable and blocked traffic in the westbound lanes, the report says. The towed unit disconnected and was laying in the eastbound lanes, the report says.

The driver had serious injuries and was brought to University Hospital by ambulance, the report says. A 2-year-old boy had moderate injuries and a 43-year-old man had minor injuries, both of which were brought to University Hospital by ambulance, the report says.

All three people were not secured in safety devices, the report says.
