Tracking dry time ahead of more rain this weekend

TODAY: Wednesday is a sunny start, with more clouds through the afternoon. Highs reach near 60 with north winds.

TONIGHT: Clouds stick around overnight, and temperatures settle in the 40s. Winds are from the northeast.

EXTENDED: Partly to mostly cloudy skies linger through Thursday, and highs are likely stuck in the 50s with a northeast breeze. On Friday, a broad area of low pressure brings a chance for showers and thunderstorms. This rain chance lasts into Saturday, with drier conditions expected Saturday night through Sunday. Timing is not yet pinned down with this system, and it's unclear if showers will still be around for game time at Faurot Field. This leaves a low chance for rain in the forecast for game time. Dry weather returns early next week. Another half inch to one inch of rain could come with this next round.
