Tracking Arctic air moving in
THURSDAY: Arctic air has settled in this morning, leading to icy roads from yesterday's rain/snow mix that fell on the roads and has frozen over, along with wind chills in the 10 to 15 degrees below zero. Highs will top out in the low teens and may struggle to get back to the double digits in some spots despite the return of sunshine.
TONIGHT: With clear skies overhead, temperatures will plummet once again to near zero, with a slight wind out of the northwest creating windchills below zero once again.
EXTENDED: After a frigid start, Friday rebounds better than the day before with highs getting to near freezing. We keep the warming trend rolling into the weekend with highs getting into the low 40s Saturday and upper 40s and low 50s Sunday. We're tracking another disturbance moving through late on Sunday, but many of us will stay dry. Those that do see some precipitation will see it fall as rain. The 50s stick around Monday before we start cooling back down on Tuesday.
