forecast.
For the Big Piney River…including Fort Leonard Wood – East Gate…
Major flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE…Roubidoux Creek near Waynesville.

* WHEN…Until early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, flood waters back up into Mitchell Creek
in Waynesville. Homes and businesses near the river flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 AM CST Tuesday the stage was 10.3 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 AM CST Tuesday was 10.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.5
feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow evening.
– Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
20.1 feet on 08/06/2013.
