Kansas City truck driver seriously injured in Saline County crash

SALINE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Kansas City man was seriously injured Wednesday in a crash on Highway 65, north of Mount Olive in Saline County, a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says.

The report says a 2019 International tractor-trailer – driven by Gerardo Velasquez Valladares, 29 – was heading northbound when it went off the right side of the road, hit a roadway marker and overturned in the roadway.

He was brought to University Hospital by ambulance, the report says. He was not wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle was totaled, the report says.
