Tracking additional snowfall and dangerously cold air by late tonight
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Rain changes to snow for all after sunset, giving us an additional 1-3." Temperatures dive into the upper single digits, with winds picking up to 25-30 mph. Wind chills will range between -10 below and 5 degrees above zero.
THURSDAY: Snowfall ends before sunrise, but with rapidly dropping temperatures, roads could be quite slick. Highs reach into the low teens, but the wind chills stay in the single digits to a few degrees below zero.
EXTENDED: Weather Alert Day continues into Friday morning thanks to single digit lows. Thankfully, sunshine helps us get to about 30 degrees for Valentine's Day, and it stays dry. The weekend gets significantly warmer as temperatures approach the 40s and 50s through Saturday and Sunday, with rain holding off until Monday. We start off next week mild in the upper 50s, and after that potential rain moves through, we fall back off into the 30s for next Tuesday.
