Tracking a very warm start to the week
THIS MORNING: Clear and cool with lows in the upper 40s.
TODAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 80 degrees.
EXTENDED: A strong system tracking across the Plains will draw in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, but it runs into dry air over our region. Because of this, rain chances are looking pretty slim early in the week with only a few showers possible on Tuesday morning. We'll reach near 80 on Tuesday with gusty winds, with a short-lived cooldown on Wednesday and Thursday in the upper 60s to low 70s. A weak front moves through during that time, only bringing a few clouds and perhaps a spot shower on Thursday night. We'll end the week on a warm note on Friday with highs warming further into the 70s through the weekend.
