Tracking unseasonably warm temperatures, limited rain next week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with lows in the upper 40s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs near 80 degrees.
EXTENDED: After a warm and sunny weekend, we can expect temperatures to soar to near 80 to start off next week under the influence of upper high pressure. A strong low pressure working across the Plains will draw in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, but it runs into dry air over our region. Because of this, rain chances are looking pretty slim early in the week with only a few showers possible on Tuesday morning. We'll reach near 80 on Tuesday with gusty winds, with a short lived cool down Wednesday and Thursday into the upper 60s to low 70s. A weak front moves through during that time, only bringing a few clouds and perhaps a spot shower on Thursday night. We'll end the week on a warm note on Friday with highs back into the 80s through the weekend.
