Tracking a warm and sunny weekend

TODAY: Friday is another mild and bright day, but this time we'll have highs reaching a few degrees higher, into the 70s. South winds, dry air, and warmth will contribute to elevated fire risk this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Skies are clear again, with temperatures falling into the low 40s.

EXTENDED: Clear and warming conditions continue through the weekend. Homecoming Saturday is picture perfect, but a little warmer than seasonable. Temperatures start in the 40s and climb to the low 70s by the end of the game. Highs remain in the mid-to-upper 70s through Tuesday. Some showers are possible along a stalling front Monday night, before another push of cold air frees it to move south. Very little rain is forecast. The front pushes through Wednesday, allowing for a cooler end to next week.
