Tracking a steady warmup back above average

THIS AFTERNOON: After a chilly start sunshine gets temperatures back into the low 60s.

TONIGHT: Clear and calm conditions could bring another freeze in the coldest parts of the area, but lows are expected to be a few degrees warmer overall in the mid-30s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will be fairly seasonal to close out the week with lows jumping back to the 40s and highs in the low 70s. Homecoming weekend looks perfect to get outside, just a little warmer than we should be in the mid-70s. Rain could be in the forecast for multiple days next week but it will be on the lighter side.
