Tracking a temperature roller coaster over the weekend
TODAY: Warmer than Thursday, Friday brings temperatures into the mid-80s thanks to better south winds and continued sunshine. Low humidity is forecast, so we won't feel any heat index of note.
TONIGHT: Skies become partly cloudy overnight, to mostly cloudy, as some high clouds pass through the region. These will begin to break up by sunrise.
EXTENDED: We'll have some high clouds Saturday morning, but generally we'll be bright and warm, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s. Saturday night, a cold front moves in, bringing clouds with it. We are unlikely to see any rain with this, but the front will bring a decent cool down early next week. Sunday's highs will only reach low 70s, while Monday we are stuck in the 60s, and some may not get out of the 50s on Tuesday. Early morning temperatures continue to look like they may suggest frost (especially in the north) Tuesday and/or Wednesday mornings. Temperatures are forecast right on the border of what's needed for frost, so stay tuned to the forecast for slight changes.
