Tracking a dry stretch with a warming trend

TODAY: Tuesday is another crisp and cool morning, with a likewise similar warmup in store for the afternoon. Expect highs back in the 70s with calm and somewhat variable conditions through the day.

TONIGHT: What light breeze we may have will be oriented from the south by the afternoon, and through the overnight. Otherwise, mostly calm conditions and clear skies remain overnight. Temperatures will fall into the 40s once more.

EXTENDED: Little change lies ahead, save for south winds being more prominent in the forecast, warming us to near 80 Wednesday, and into the low 80s through Saturday with sunny skies through the rest of the week. A few extra clouds may come as a cold front stalls into a stationary front Saturday, and another cold front pushes through the region Sunday. Still, no rain is forecast with either front. This drops our temperatures back into the 70s next week, a more seasonable feel for mid-October.
