Mizzou drops 12 spots in the latest AP Poll, following the trouncing in College Station

After getting trounced by Texas A&M in College Station on Saturday, the Mizzou football team dropped 12 spots in the latest AP Poll. The team is now the No. 21 team in the country.
It's the first time in the 2024 season that head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company have dipped out of the Top-11 teams.
The move comes after the Tigers suffered a 31-point loss at the hands of the Aggies at Kyle Field, on Saturday. From the first offensive series, it was clear how the day was going to go. Quarterback Brady Cook and company were out-gained 512-254, as Texas A&M limited Mizzou to just 79 total yards of offense in the first half.
As a result of the dominating win, Mike Elko and his Aggie team moved up in the AP Top-25, now sitting at No. 15.
However, Mizzou was just one of five Top-10 teams that were upset on Saturday. In fact, the Tigers were the only team that actually lost to a ranked opponent. Chaos hit the Top-11 teams, as four of them lost to unranked opponents.
There were quite a few field-stormings on Saturday, as Vanderbilt stunned No. 1 Alabama, Arkansas beat No. 4 Tennessee, Washington defeated No. 10 Michigan and Minnesota topped No. 11 USC.
