Police investigate shots fired on McKee Street in northeast Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police found evidence of shots fired on McKee Street in northeast Columbia on Friday night.

At least five patrol vehicles responded near McKee Street Park before 10 p.m.

An officer at the scene said the department received multiple reports of shots fired around 9:50 p.m. Once on scene, officers placed more than 10 evidence markers.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw officers searching the trunk of a car.

Police have responded to northeast Columbia multiple times in recent days.

On Tuesday night officers found evidence of a shooting near Godas Drive and Valley Creek Lane. Officers responded to the same area Thursday night for another shots fired incident. Early Friday morning police investigated shots fired at an apartment complex on Clark Lane.
