Tracking light rain for some, but not all

TODAY: It'll be a mostly dry day in Columbia, other than a chance at a few showers. Most of today's rain will stay south and east, with a slightly better chance in Jefferson City but a wetter day overall in Hermann, Owensville, Rolla, and Vienna. These communities have a chance at a few hundredths of an inch to a quarter of an inch. Otherwise, skies are cloudy elsewhere. Highs are forecast in the low-to-mid 70s.

TONIGHT: Clouds linger, but showers are more intermittent with more dry time in between. Temperatures remain in the 60s.

EXTENDED: Spotty showers and clouds linger but Saturday shapes up mostly dry. Sunday, the clouds move away and take any remaining rain chance with them. Still, a few clouds linger, leaving us partly cloudy with a high in the upper 70s. Monday is warmer, near 80 under partly cloudy skies. A dry cold front will drop us back into the low 70s Tuesday and Wednesday.
