Tracking spotty rain chances ahead of a more dry midweek
TODAY: Cloudy and drizzly conditions linger this morning, with continued clouds and spotty showers in the forecast for the day ahead. This afternoon and evening, just enough instability may be present to aid in creating a rumble of thunder or two. Expect highs near 70 amid a light northwest breeze.
TONIGHT: Skies may break up a bit tonight, but remain partly to mostly cloudy through morning. Temperatures will fall into the 50s though as rain and low clouds, which have been more insulating, will be gone.
EXTENDED: Wednesday will be partly cloudy, and warmer, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s. Clouds return Thursday, and showers Thursday night, as an upper level low pulls today's moisture, and likely the remnants of a tropical system from the gulf, back into the region for the weekend. This keeps rain chances in the forecast Friday through Monday. It won't be a washout each day, but our chances are best Friday and Saturday, with lesser chances Sunday and Monday. Temperatures are expected to be cool, in the low 70s with plenty of cloud cover present.
