Tracking storms and cooler weather for the work week

TONIGHT: I'm tracking showers and storms moving into central Missouri from 4-6 PM. Heavier downpours can be expected, but severe weather is not anticipated. If strong to severe storms are observed, they will be expected to form along and south of I-44 throughout the evening, and damaging winds will be the main concern. After sunset, storms will fall apart and a largely dry rest of the night will fall into place. Temperatures will fall into the low 60s by the end of the night with the help of northerly winds at 5-7 mph.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking more chances to see isolated and scattered showers throughout the morning hours, with slightly more widespread activity once again held to southern portions of Missouri. Cloud cover will persist throughout the day, and northerly winds at 3-5 mph are expected. This is why temperatures will only reach into the high 60s by the afternoon hours.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking rainfall leaving the area through Tuesday morning and a brief dry period lasting through Thursday. By Friday, another system is expected to impact Missouri, bringing more chances of rainfall that last throughout the weekend. Throughout all of next week, temperatures are only expected to top out in the low to mid 70s, making it feel a bit more like fall.
