Centralia man seriously injured after single-vehicle crash in Boone County Saturday night

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Centralia man was seriously hurt after a crash in Boone County at around 9 p.m. Saturday night, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash happened at the intersection of Schooler Rd. and Route U, according to the report.

The report states Tyler Hawkins, 18, of Centralia, was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta west on Schooler Rd. when he failed to stop at a stop sign, went across Route U and hit a tree.

Hawkins was taken to University Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, according to the report.

The report states Hawkins was not wearing a seatbelt.
