Arizona man charged with two felonies in fatal Miller County crash
LAKE OZARK, Mo. (KMIZ)
An Arizona man was charged with two felonies in a Miller County crash that killed a woman early Sunday.
Khalil Manygoats, 26, of Phoenix, Arizona, was charged with driving while intoxicated – causing the death of another and drug possession. He is being held at the Miller County Jail on a $200,000 bond. A court date has not been set.
According to the probable cause statement, troopers were called to a crash at 12:22 a.m. Sunday and saw a woman dead with a head injury. Manygoats allegedly told troopers that he crashed after he was cut off by another vehicle while heading eastbound on Highway 242.
Manygoats was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle and crashed it into a median barrier, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. His passenger – Larose Spencer, 36, of Phoenix, Arizona – was killed in the crash.
The probable cause statement says that a trooper smelled alcohol on Manygoats’ breath and that his speech was slurred. Manygoats refused to take a breath test, the statement says. The statement says he was driving without a valid license. Troopers also allegedly found cocaine near the Harley.
