Tracking a dry and warm end to summer
TODAY: Monday is Partly cloudy with an isolated chance for showers this morning, and a pop up thunderstorm this afternoon as tropical moisture lingers in Francine's wake. Temperatures Monday will reach mid-80s, with dewpoints in the 60s, keeping a humid feel to the air. Winds are generally from the southeast, but will be variable at times.
TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the 60s overnight, with some clouds at first, but clearing through early Tuesday morning.
EXTENDED: Tuesday will start humid and warm, with temperatures in the low 60s. Tuesday's highs will reach upper 80s, but our tropical moisture shifts away as drier air from the northeast inches into the region. Dewpoints will fall slightly as well, leaving some more comfortable air through at least Wednesday. Abundant Sunshine is the forecast, with no rain chance from Tuesday through Friday. We'll be warm, though, as highs are forecast in the upper 80s through the weekend thanks to ever present upper level ridging across the Midwest. The formula changes though, by the weekend, as that pattern starts to break down. For now, this has small rain chances forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
