Tracking more clouds ahead of showers overnight into Friday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with rain holding off until overnight. Lows in the low to mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Cloudy with scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder. Plenty of dry time in between. Highs in the low to mid-70s.

EXTENDED: Showers are possible overnight, starting south near I-44 by around midnight and advancing north overnight. Scattered light showers are possible through Friday with plenty of dry time in between. It's looking more likely that the high blocking this to the east will be stubborn, meaning this system will be spinning in the vicinity until it weakens through the weekend. We'll likely see clouds continuing into Saturday with a chance for a few showers and even rumbles of thunder east of Highway 63. We'll keep a low chance of rain into Sunday as well as it doesn't look like there will be much progression. Once this finally clears, the rest of the week is looking pretty dry and slightly warmer that average as we're stuck in a pattern that will send southwest flow in our direction. We can't rule out a pulse storm or two any given day as moisture is more ample across the region. Highs will be in the upper 70s to around 80 over the weekend, then warm into the mid-80s for much of next week.
