Tracking the remnants of Francine
TODAY: Clouds will increase through the day, keeping highs in the low-to-mid 80s. This comes from the remnants of Francine.
TONIGHT: A chance for showers returns after 7 p.m. near I-44, and after midnight near Columbia and Jefferson City as Francine nears.
EXTENDED: Rain chances fill in and peak around 3-7 a.m. Friday before showers become more sparse and off and on in nature. Some in the far southeast could record a half inch, but these totals will taper quickly to the northwest. Showers may linger in an extremely isolated nature into Saturday morning, but Saturday still looks mostly dry. Some spotty showers and afternoon storms may redevelop near the Mississippi River on Saturday afternoon, missing most of the region to the east. Saturday, temperatures will be near 80 for highs, but we will return to mid-80s through next week, with mostly dry conditions. Low rain chances loom in the next week, with each day having a miniscule chance as more moisture and warmth lingers in the region.
