No injuries reported after house fire in Fulton early Saturday morning

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

No one was hurt after a house fire in Fulton early Saturday morning, according to a press release from Fulton Fire Chief Russell Sing.

The release states that at 2:45 a.m., the Fulton Fire Department responded to a report of a residential structure fire at 1102 Donna Ln. When crews arrived eight minutes later, they found a split-level single-family home with flames and smoke coming from the garage and garage roof.

Fire crews searched the home. After the home was searched and cleared, firefighters began putting water on a fire reported in the attic. The fire was put out in about 32 minutes, according to the release.

According to the release, people living in the house were already out by the time firefighters arrived. The house did not have working smoke detectors and the family dog woke up the people inside, alerting them of the fire.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, the release states. Damages are estimated to cost around $160,000.

A total of four fire engines and 12 firefighters were on scene battling the fire.

The Fulton Fire Department, Fulton Police Department, Callaway County Ambulance District, Central Callaway Fire Protection District and American Red Cross assisted at the scene, according to the release.
