Three accused in Fulton killing indicted by grand jury
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
Three people who were accused in the death of a Fulton teenager were indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday.
Mitchell Henderson Jr., 44, of Columbia, is charged with first-degree murder, illegal gun possession and armed criminal action. Quiara Walton, 19, of Fulton, is charged with first-degree murder. Emmanuel Brown, 20, of Holts Summit, is charged with first-degree accessory to murder and armed criminal action.
All three people are being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond and have an arraignment scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Callaway County Courthouse.
They are all accused in the shooting death of Jakiem Braggs, 19, on July 16. Police responded to a shots-fired call that day in the 1200 block of Kathy Street and found Braggs dead in the street with gunshot wounds.
Previous court documents say Walton “lured” Braggs to the area after messaging him on the social media application Snapchat. The statement described the shooting as an “ambush.”
Police said last month that a juvenile was allegedly involved and is in custody with juvenile authorities.
