Ashland man sentenced 45 years for child sex crimes

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An Ashland man who pleaded guilty last month to two child sex crimes was sentenced on Monday.

Justin Franks, 46, pleaded guilty on July 15 to statutory sodomy and second-degree child molestation. He was sentenced on Monday to 45 years in prison.

According to previous reporting, court documents say law enforcement was told that Franks molested the victim 16 times from February 2021-January 2024. During a recorded conversation on Wednesday, Jan. 24, Franks allegedly admitted to molesting the victim 15-20 times and stated additional sexual assaults occurred.
