Tracking summer heat taking over the work week

TONIGHT: I'm tracking cloud cover breaking apart as rain continues to move to the southeast throughout the evening. Temperatures will drop into the high 60s and low 70s by the end of the night with winds out of the southeast at 5-10 mph.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking a lower chance at rainfall (20%) during the morning hours before sunshine makes a return in the afternoon. Temperatures will warm up into the low 90s and heat index values will be nearing 100 degrees. Southerly winds at 5-10 mph and gusts up to 20 mph will assist in the warmup process throughout the day.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking summer heat sticking around with daily high temperatures in the low to mid 90s and heat index values in the 100-105 degree range. This will last through Wednesday before a more active pattern becomes apparent. There is a chance to see storm activity on Wednesday (20%), but better chances (30%) come Thursday into Friday as a cold front is set to pass through the area. This cold front will bring relief by the end of the week with high temperatures topping out in the low 80s Friday and Saturday.
