Mizzou Women’s Basketball reveals 2024-25 schedule

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Along with the return of Mizzou fall sports, schedule reveal season has also arrived for MU's winter athletics teams. Mizzou Women's Basketball unveiled its complete 2024-25 schedule on Wednesday, which features 19 opportunities for fans to see Robin Pingeton's team in action in Columbia.

The Tigers will host 19 different teams at Mizzou Arena this season, making up more than half of their regular season schedule. Plus, nine of MU's opponents were NCAA Tournament teams last season.

The 2024-25 season tips off at Vermont on Nov. 4 before the Tigers return to Columbia for their home opener against Southern University three days later. MU will not face Braggin' Rights rival Illinois this year but will host Show Me State rival Saint Louis, the only game on the schedule featuring two Missouri teams.

Mizzou's SEC season begins with a very difficult test, welcoming the defending NCAA champion South Carolina Gamecocks to Columbia West on Jan. 2. During conference play, Mizzou will have a home-and-away series with Oklahoma and an away game at Texas, the two newest members of the SEC and MU's former Big 12 Conference rivals. Then, SEC action wraps up at home against Vanderbilt at the beginning of March.

Pingeton's crew is hunting for a bounce back season, following its first under .500 campaign since 2020-21. Mizzou finished last season with an 11-19 overall record, including a 2-14 mark in conference play.
