Tracking a cool week ahead of a warmer weekend

TODAY: Tuesday brings more north flow and partly cloudy skies, keeping high temperatures in the upper 70s for many through the afternoon. You may notice some activity on radar this afternoon, but showers aloft will be likely too weak to bring rain through a lot of dry air closer to the surface. Humidity is low, keeping today very comfortable through the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Skies remain partly cloudy, and temperatures fall into the upper 50s with winds from the east.

EXTENDED: Wednesday brings more partly cloudy skies as a wave again generates some potential for light showers aloft, but enough dry air in the lower atmosphere to mostly negate any chance for meaningful rain. A sprinkle may be possible in the afternoon, but it's unlikely. Highs remain in the upper 70s Wednesday, except for those in the west and especially southwest where 80 will be more likely. More southerly winds on Thursday may be just enough to bump most into the 80s. From here, temperatures warm quickly into the 90s by Saturday afternoon, staying there through Monday. Hints at rain return over the weekend, but for now things still look mostly dry.
