Fulton man charged with four felonies after allegedly threatening to shoot multiple people

KINGDOM CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Fulton man was charged with four felonies and three misdemeanors after he allegedly threatened to kill multiple people in Kingdom City.

Justin Clifford, 44, was charged with first-degree attempted assault, first-degree stalking, first-degree making a terroristic threat, armed criminal action, misdemeanor DWI and two counts of fourth-degree assault, which are misdemeanors.

Clifford is being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond. An initial court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the probable cause statement, Callaway County deputies were called on Friday afternoon to The Banded Rooster in Kingdom City after Clifford allegedly threatened to show up to the restaurant with a gun.

Deputies allegedly found Clifford in a black Chevrolet Cobalt while he was holding a shotgun while the vehicle was still running, the statement says. Clifford was arrested and deputies found multiple guns and a bottle of vodka in the vehicle, the statement says.

Clifford’s blood alcohol level was .24 during a preliminary breath test, three times the legal limit to drive, the statement says. He later blew a .213, the statement says.

Clifford had allegedly been arguing with one of the victims at their residence for about 24 hours prior, the statement says. Clifford allegedly threatened to kill them, another victim and himself, the statement says.
