Columbia police respond to robbery in South Columbia Sunday evening

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia police department is investigating a robbery at a business in South Columbia Sunday evening.

According to a press release from the department, officers responded to a commercial robbery in the 3900 block of South Providence Road at 4:49 p.m. A female employee allegedly told police a man wearing a black mask came into the store and demanded money.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the release.

The investigation is on-going.
