Mizzou finishes practice No. 15 as fall camp winds down
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Football has just two practices left of fall camp. Eli Drinkwitz and company wrapped up practice No. 15 of camp on Friday afternoon at the team's outdoor practice fields behind the Mizzou Athletic Training Complex.
You can watch extended highlights of Friday's practice in the video player below.
With just a few days left of fall camp practices before Mizzou turns the page to complete Week 1 preparation, the anticipation for the team's season opener against Murray State on Thursday, Aug. 29 is building. The players are also simply excited to finally face an opponent that's not their teammates.
"There's always that feeling. There's always that excitement for the first game. I'm definitely excited to get there, get that first game out of the way, so you can really just go against someone else," wide receiver Mekhi Miller said. "In the meantime, it just gives us a lot of time to prepare because we know how good our defense is and how good our offense is, so you just continue to work and better each other so when we see an opponent, we'll be ready."
The Tigers will return to practice on Saturday, Aug. 17 for Fan Night at Faurot Field. The practice will be open to the public and free to attend with the gates opening at 6 p.m. and the action beginning at 7 p.m.
