Cole County man charged with rape, incest

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Cole County man was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree rape and two counts of incest.

Troy Sharkey Sr. is being held at the Cole County Jail without bond. A court date has not been scheduled.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim told Cole County deputies on Thursday that Sharkey raped them on May 13 and 14.

Sharkey allegedly admitted to investigators that “sexual encounters” occurred and claimed he was “blackmailed” afterward, the statement says.
