Tracking sunshine Saturday, but rain returns as temperatures rise on Sunday

TONIGHT: Flurries early, then mostly cloudy with lows in the upper teens to around 20.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and chilly, highs in the upper 30s.

EXTENDED: As moisture and warmer air filter back into the region from the southwest on Sunday, clouds increase and temperatures go up. We'll see highs a few degrees above average in the mid-40s, but rain returns by afternoon as a cold front approaches the area. This will keep us colder on Monday as highs fall back down into the upper 30s. Our next storm system arrives late Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing a chance of more rain and potentially snow early on Thursday if precipitation sticks around as cold air moves back into Mid-Missouri.
