Tracking minimal rain chances off and on through the forecast

TODAY: Wednesday will be much like Tuesday, with partly cloudy skies and a high in the mid-to-upper 80s, but likely a degree or two warmer and less of a chance for a pop-up shower. Dry conditions will likely remain through the day.

TONIGHT: Skies will clear into the night, and temperatures will once again fall into the upper 60s with variable winds.

EXTENDED: Thursday morning, some clouds, and spotty showers from a weak and stalling front from the north arrives. The overall chance for morning showers is low, but best north of I-70. Chances for rain grows Thursday afternoon as isolated storms pop up south of the stalled front, across much of the region. Overall rain chances are still low. Friday, The rain chance is very low again, but still, an isolated storm or two cannot be ruled out. Rain chances grow into the weekend, as an upper level low brushes the region, reflecting at the surface as an increased low level jet that advects in gulf moisture and warmth. This will result in a chance for isolated to scattered showers and storms Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. Temperatures will remain mild, in the upper 80s, but upper level high pressure looks to build temperatures back into the 90s next week.
