Jefferson City sex offender indicted on federal child porn charges

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City man was indicted on federal child pornography charges on Tuesday, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Howard Dale Speckhals, 61, was charged with possessing and distributing child porn. He allegedly distributed child porn on the internet from June 25, 2023-March 22, 2024. He was allegedly found in possession of child porn on June 20.

Speckhals has a prior conviction for first-degree sexual misconduct, the release says.
