Tracking isolated storm chances with rising temperatures

TODAY: Tuesday is much like Monday, with a high in the mid-80s and mostly dry. Only a slim chance for an isolated storm returns this afternoon from partly cloudy skies, but any one person has an extremely low chance at finding themselves underneath one. Winds are light and variable.

TONIGHT: Skies will clear out overnight, with temperatures falling into the upper 60s with a light south breeze.

EXTENDED: Wednesday will be another carbon copy of Monday and Tuesday, with highs a degree or two warmer in the upper 80s, but with mostly dry conditions and only an extremely isolated chance for storms. A weak cold front will arrive Wednesday night into Thursday. This keeps a slight chance for showers and storms Thursday morning, and potentially again in the afternoon. Still, current trends are unimpressive, and the few that do see rain will likely receive limited amounts. The weak front will likely stall across the region Friday, keeping clouds and temperatures steadily in the upper 80s. Part of Friday's mostly cloudy skies will be high clouds moving in from the south west, which will be tied to rain chances moving in on Saturday. Confidence in this system is low, so rain chances are low, but should this setup materialize, rain coverage would be more scattered than what is forecast early this week, and amounts would likely be a bit higher as well. We'll keep low chances for rain in the forecast over the weekend, given the uncertainty of track and timing, but it may not rain Saturday AND Sunday, and dry time is likely. What's less uncertain is a warmup that is on track for the weekend, with highs forecast in the upper 80s and low 90s.
