Manhunt ends in Cole County arrest
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Authorities found a wanted man inside a Cole County convenience store Monday after a search that lasted more than four hours.
Deputies located Christopher Hagan of Vienna at about 5 p.m. Monday inside Dody's Convenience Store on Heritage Highway, the Cole County Sheriff's Office says in a news release. They were looking for Hagan after Osage and Maries counties chased him and tried to arrest him on Maries County warrants, the release says.
A call came in at 12:30 p.m. Monday about a man walking along Buffalo Road who had recently run from authorities, according to the release. Deputies were sent to a spot where the man was seen walking into the woods but could not find him. Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers and state conservation agents helped in the search.
Hagan was taken to the county line, where Maries County deputies picked him up, the release says.
Two felony cases have been filed against Hagan this year in Maries County, according to online court records. The most recent charges were filed this month and include felony resisting arrest and second-degree assault.
Hagan was charged in May in Maries County with drug possession in jail and resisting arrest.
