Man flown to hospital after motorcycle crash in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Versailles man was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries Tuesday night after a motorcycle crash in Morgan County.

According to the online crash report, Russel Jones, 36, was driving on Route W north of the Marvin Cutoff when he tried to pass another vehicle and traveled off the right side of the road.

Jones then hit a mailbox, a road sign and a tree before being thrown off his 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Troopers said Jones was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
