Tracking a soggy Tuesday with a light at the end of the tunnel

TODAY: Tuesday is an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day as widespread rain from the remnants of what was Hurricane Beryl move through the region. Widespread 2-4 inches of rain in southeast mid-Missouri will be an issue as it falls over already saturated, or near saturated grounds, causing a flood threat. The majority of the region is in a flood watch through tonight. Highs remain cool, in the low 70s.

TONINGHT: Widespread rain will come to an end from west to east this evening, leaving spotty showers behind.

EXTENDED: We'll start Wednesday dry, with mostly sunny skies. Highs return to the mid-80s. Spotty showers and storms are possible, especially in the north, Wednesday evening. Thursday will be much the same; sunny and in the mid-80s ahead of isolated evening storms but this time further south. Friday through Sunday looks dry and sunny, as upper level blocking moves in, keeping things increasingly warm and dry. Expect highs near 90 Saturday, with low 90s likely Sunday and Monday.
