Alec Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter case has been dismissed. Here’s key things to know

AP Entertainment Writer

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer dismissed the case based on the misconduct of police and prosecutors over the withholding of evidence from the defense in the shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film “Rust.” The trial had been expected to last nine days, but was ended on its fourth day. The actor wept and hugged his lawyers and his wife Hilaria after the ruling.
