Flood Warning issued July 3 at 10:33AM CDT until July 9 at 11:30PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO

…The National Weather Service in St Louis MO has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…

Missouri River at Jefferson City.

Missouri River at Washington.

Missouri River at St. Charles.

…Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Missouri…

Missouri River at Hermann.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Missouri River at Hermann.

* WHEN…Until late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, Near this height, Gutenberg Street begins
flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 20.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this afternoon to a crest of 26.6 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Monday
afternoon.
– Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.
