Tracking better conditions to get outside today

TODAY: Temperatures are much cooler today as highs only rise to the low 80s. Plenty of sunshine and lack of moisture spell out a beautiful end to the weekend.

TOMORROW: Monday is still nice in the 70s with a few added clouds from rain out west. This rain likely fizzles out in central Missouri thanks to very dry air above the surface.

EXTENDED: We sharply return to the hottest conditions of the upcoming week on Tuesday; highs will soar back to the 90s with a heat index approaching triple digits. Late Tuesday night into Wednesday will start the trend of almost daily rain chances throughout the rest of the week, including the Fourth of July.
