Randolph County Sheriff’s Office warns of impersonation scam again

MGN

MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents again about scammers falsely calling themselves deputies.

The Sheriff’s Office wrote on its Facebook page on Friday that someone was calling residents, and was claiming to be a “Deputy Jonathan Baker.”

“We do not have a deputy by that name. In the event you receive a call from this individual, it is a scam do not engage,” the post reads.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was one of several sheriff’s offices that warned of a similar scam in May. At that point, scammers were using the name “Deputy John Clark,” which the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said there was no deputy with that name.
