Mizzou softball picks up another transfer portal commitment

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou softball team now has two commitments out of the transfer portal this offseason.

Former Oklahoma State outfielder Haidyn Sokoloski announced she is coming to Columbia in an Instagram post, on Thursday night. She played in 33 games for the Cowgirls in 2024, with eight starts. Over the course of those games, she was a .333 hitter and tallied one home run and nine RBI on nine hits. Sokoloski had limited at-bats in her time in Stillwater, with 27 on the year.

The Texas native was one of Oklahoma State's top choices as a pinch runner during her freshman campaign. She saw action in 36 games for the Cowgirls and came around to score 14 runs. She also saw action in Oklahoma State's NCAA Super Regional round against Oregon, scoring as a pinch runner.

Out of high school, Sokoloski was the No. 17 ranked recruit over all and the No. 3 infielder in Extra Innings Softball's 2022 Extra Elite 100. During her senior year, she registered a .439 batting average with 10 home runs, 17 doubles, five triples and 44 RBI.

She joins former Kentucky slugger Taylor Ebbs in players to commit to head coach Larissa Anderson after the 2024 season wrapped up.
