Multiple Columbia police vehicles responded to a residence on Doris Drive in north Columbia for a shooting on Wednesday night.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a death at a residence on the 1400 block of Doris Drive in north Columbia on Wednesday night.

CPD spokesman Jeff Pitts said at 9:41 p.m. that officers are conducting an investigation at the residence. Pitts said officers were first called to the scene around 7:10 p.m.

An ABC 17 News crew at the scene reported seeing at least six CPD vehicles at the scene, a Columbia Fire Department truck and one ambulance. A crime scene investigation van was also seen at the residence.

Police told our crew that officers are still searching for one person.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting or if anyone was arrested.
