St. Louis police killed a juvenile after stopping a stolen car, a spokesperson says

ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis police say an officer shot and killed a juvenile after he allegedly led police on a chase in a stolen vehicle and pointed a gun at them. A police spokesperson says that anti-crime task force officers spotted the stolen vehicle around 1 p.m. Tuesday and tried to pull it over. Officers managed to spike the vehicle’s tires and after it stopped, two teens got out and ran. The spokesperson says both of the juveniles were armed. During a foot chase, one of the juveniles pointed a gun at an officer, who shot him. The juvenile died at the scene. The name and age of the person killed has not been released. The officers were not hurt.
